St John's is situated in Bramcote, a suburb of Nottingham, about five miles south-west of the city centre.
Nottingham is a great place to live, with both a thriving city and beautiful countryside in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire is at your fingertips. Communication by road, rail and air is very good - we are five minutes from the M1, on mainline rail networks, and have several airports within an hour's drive. There are regular buses to and from the city centre, and the city's network of trams stops within a 5-10 minute walk of the college.
The area is well equipped for social and sporting activities with a number of pubs, parks and a leisure centre within easy walking distance. Nottingham has two league football clubs, Nottingham Forest and Notts County, county cricket and test matches are held at the infamous Trent Bridge cricket ground, ice skating and ice hockey happen at the National Ice Centre and the Nottingham Tennis Centre which hosts both men's ATP and women's WTA tennis tournaments just before Wimbledon is a short distance from College.
Nottingham and the local area cater for those with interests in culture too - Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery, Wollaton Hall, Broadway Cinema to name but a few. Full details of all that is available can be found on www.experiencenottinghamshire.com
