Congratulations to Isabelle Hamley, new Tutor in Biblical Studies

Isabelle HamleyWe are delighted to announce that Isabelle Hamley has been appointed as Tutor in Biblical Studies. She will be taking up this new role in July, having served for the past two years as a formational tutor. She is currently completing her doctorate with us in biblical hermeneutics.

Isabelle trained for ordination at St John's between 2009 and 2011, having previously studied at the universities of Orleans and Birmingham. She was ordained deacon in the Church of England in 2011 and priest in 2012, and after curacies at West Bridgford and Wilford Hill is now in local ministry at Holy Rood, Edwalton. Her work there will continue in conjunction with her teaching at St John's.

The Principal of St John's, David Hilborn, said: "Isabelle is an excellent scholar, tutor and minister who already knows St John's well and is highly respected by faculty, staff and students alike. We are excited that Isabelle's involvement with the college will now be developed as she takes up this important post."
