Abbie Crawford started studying on the BA (Hons) Youth and Community Work and Practical Theology degree with MCYM in September 2016. In a recent interview Abbie reflected on her time so far.

Why did you choose to study with MCYM?
I came to MCYM to pursue my passion for youthwork in an academic as well as practical setting.

What are you learning from studying at MCYM?
I’m learning more about myself and how my understandings of the Bible and Youthwork differ to other people's. And listening to others has been really challenging.

Can you share a story about how your work made a difference to someone?
I find it amazing building up relationships with new young people so that they tell you they need you and trust you.

Funniest moment?
When our class-mates came up with a RAP! It was about the gospel. Twas AWESOME!

How has your first term been?
It’s been a journey; a new church has been challenging but so enjoyable. Starting the course has been an eye opening experience and I’ve learnt so much.

How has this course impacted your spiritual development?
I’ve understood God in a different way having been challenged to find God in everything I do. I set aside time to worship him and have a full-on relationship with him.

Any other comments?
I love the community of MCYM.
